Michael Azzopardi
Creative Director
Michael, Switch’s founder and Creative Director, has a true passion for style and design. After graduating
in Graphic Design and Typography from Kingston University in London, he spent four
years working as
Art Director for Ogilvy & Mather (Malta), one year as Art Director at the Lowe Worldwide Malta
affiliate
and
seven years as Creative Director for the Malta associate company of McCann Erickson Worldwide.
His capability for lateral thought across any brief has commanded respect from a diverse range of clients over the years. Michael brings a fresh approach to his technology work, softening the sterility of the high-tech world. He strongly believes a good identity should have both a contemporary elegance and a lasting appeal.
With excellent studio and typographic abilities, as well as skills in new media, he strives for a balance of strong conceptual thinking and solid execution of design fundamentals.

Simon Debono
Director of Marketing
Simon has worked in Sales and Marketing for the last 15 years and has learned and taught at
both the agency and the client side of the business. He worked as an Account Manager at
the Malta
associate company of McCann Erickson for four years, handling various clients and helping
the company
win new accounts.
At the client side, he set up and headed the marketing department at Miller Distributors, launching Wilkinson Sword onto the local market, reviving the Remington brand and achieving market leadership in this sector. Simon handled brands such as Energizer, Siemens Gigaset and the leading local retail chain, Agenda Bookshop.
Subsequently, Simon ventured and gained experience in financial services as Marketing Manager for Global Capital plc, being promoted to the Head of Marketing soon after. He joined Switch as a partner and director in January 2009. Simon holds a marketing degree from the Bristol Business School at the University of the West of England.
